“You are more capable than you think you are”

Sung was ranked 51st on "The 75 Best Designers in Tech" by Business Insider (2013) for his past work: Sam's Club mobile app redesign (2013), 7-Eleven.com redesign (2012), Bud Light's first touchscreen mobile site (2010), and Joinred.com redesign (2008).

In 2014, Sung quit his full time job to pursue an idea that he believed could fundamentally improve the way we interact with our digital world. With just $8K in his bank account, Sung started a company. He moved into his parents’ house, sold his car, raised $10K from Kickstarter, worked 120 hrs/wk on contract gigs, and bootstrapped $500K to fund the project.

The project led to creating a paradigm-shifting data organization method called "Organic Information Structure" — it has received global recognitions from FastCompany (2016), Webby (2017), and German Design Awards (2018)

Sung has shared his experiences at various events: Amazon Design Conflux (2019), Amazon WebDevCon (2018), SXSW (2014 & 2016), AIGA (2013), Big Design (2013) and TEDxSMU (2013).

In the midst of this insane journey, Sung has also helped raise $12M+ for 5 startups, 2 of which have reached the Series A funding round: NicksonLiving.com and OneDay.com.

Sung is now a Lead Product Designer at Amazon and the Head of Product at CoffeePass.
